Application

If you would like to apply for the program and request an interview, please click on the New Family Application button below to open up a family account and provide some information about your family and student.  Once the form is submitted and families have two letters (emails) of recommendation sent to, they will be contacted for an interview.

Reference Letters

We require every new family to submit two letters of recommendation from existing HEED families.  These may be directly emailed to us.  If you do not know two HEED families, then letters from a Sunday school leader, teacher, co-op director, etc will be considered.

Placement Tests

If you are interested in a Middle School math class or a High School English or math class, your student will need to submit a placement test before they can be eligible for a class. These tests can be downloaded below.  This will insure your student is placed in the class where he or she will be the most successful and master the material.

RETURNING FAMILIES

Returning HEED families do not need to "create a new account".  They only need to login to their family account, update their family and student information.  Please be sure to check your SPAM folder for any links that are sent to you via email.

PLACEMENT TESTS

Math Placement Tests

The purpose of the math placement test is to provide a realistic view of the student's strengths and weaknesses so an accurate class placement can be made. Class placement is based on mathematical readiness as evidenced on the placement test not on the grade or age of the student.  The student may be placed in a class at a lower level than anticipated so that the skills needed for future success will be firmly set.  It may also be necessary for the student to brush up on the skills necessary to excel in a given class prior to the start of the class.
